I’m such a fail.

Literally, as soon as I look at a pattern, I’m already making changes/substitutions. Like for this bag:

  • “22 rows of sc”? not enough. I’ll do 32.
  • “ch 3, slip st to form a ring, 2 sc in each st. (6 st)” No. I’m just doing 6 st in a magic ring. Much easier/cleaner.
  • “Stuff handles as you work”? Why would I want the handles stuffed? Scrap that idea.

And I’m not even that great of a crocheter.. lol.

I have to disagree that this poster is a fail.  She is a WIN!  Once you know there are better ways to do things (ie: the glorious magic ring), why would you go back to the other ways?  Part of the fun of crochet is making the pattern or the project your own.
